As part of the Chevy Youth Baseball initiative sweeping the nation, Everett Chevrolet partnered again this year with Mountain View Recreation to support youth sports in the local community. Everett Chevrolet provided Mountain View Recreation’s youth baseball league with equipment, instructional clinics, a monetary donation, and an opportunity to raise an additional $10,000 in funds through a Chevy vehicle giveaway-fundraiser.
“Chevrolet has a long history with baseball at the national level. We wanted to bring that excitement and commitment to youth baseball, in the communities where our customers and their families live,” said David Everett, President and Owner of Everett Chevrolet.

EVERETT CHEVROLET SCORES A GOAL FOR AREA YOUTH SOCCER Everett Chevrolet Donates More Than $2,100 in Cash and Sports Equipment to Hickory Foundation YMCA Hickory (Jan. 20, 2012) – This season, Everett Chevrolet partnered with the Hickory Foundation YMCA through the Chevrolet Youth Soccer Program,a grassroots, community outreach program geared toward bringing together America’s favorite brand with America’s fastest growing sport! The Y league received equipment and monetary donations, invitations to exclusive instructional clinics, as well as the opportunity to raise up to $10,000 through a unique fundraising opportunity.
“Chevrolet has a long history with youth sports. We’re glad to bring that commitment to our youth soccer leagues in Hickory where our customers and their families live, work, and play,” said David Everett, owner of Everett Chevrolet. “We’ve been part of this community for over 44 years and we enjoy supporting our youth sports teams.” Hickory Foundation YMCA had the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through a fundraising opportunity. One lucky winner in each region won his or her choice of a 2012 Chevy Cruze or Equinox. Another lucky winner in the Charlotte-area received a home entertainment package. One-hundred percent of the proceeds of the fundraiser went directly to the league. “We are delighted to be involved with youth soccer,” said Mr. Everett. “Sponsoring Hickory Foundation YMCA gave us the opportunity to illustrate our commitment to the youth and families in Hickory and we’re glad to have achieved such a positive outcome for the community.” |
GMC Youth Football
In 2010, Everett Buick GMC kicked off the youth football season by partnering with the Hickory Foundation YMCA to provide the league's players and coaches with equipment, a monetary donation and a chance to raise up to $10,000. Everett Buick GMC provided the Hickory YMCA with football kits filled with equipment bags, 5-gallon water coolers, dry erase coaches clipboards and t-shirts. Hickory YMCA also had the opportunity to raise as much as $10,000 through a fundraising opportunity where one lucky recipient in the Southeast Region of the country won a new 2011 GMC Terrain (MSRP not to exceed $29,000). Everett Buick GMC and other Charlotte-area Buick-GMC dealerships in the Southeast Region donated the vehicle to the participating leagues. One second prize winner was selected from the Charlotte-area to win a tailgate package (Approximate Retail Value: $500 each) including a $350-$400 grill and a $100 gift card for the grocery store of the winner's choice. One-hundred percent of the proceeds went directly to the participating leagues, and they can use the funds in any way they choose. "Buick-GMC and youth football. It's a great combination," says David Everett of Everett Buick GMC. "We are proud to be able to help the kids in our community by donating equipment and giving them the opportunity to raise much needed funds for their league.
